Problem Note 43696: Length of character computed column from SAS® Information Map might be truncated to 32

If you open an information map with SAS® Enterprise Guide® or the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office that contains a data item defined with an expression of length greater than 32, that column is truncated to a value of 32 when opened. This happens because the SAS Information Maps LIBNAME engine that is utilized by these products has a 32-character limit.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After the hot fix is installed, you will be able to specify a new value in the option to Override default column length for calculated columns. The option will be accessible via the Additional data options, which will open the Data Item Output Options dialog box (shown below).
Note: The screen shot above is from SAS Enterprise Guide. When you open the information map from SAS Enterprise Guide, you are automatically taken to the Open Information Map dialog box, which displays the data items and any filters. In the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, you must select Filter & Sort in order to display the Open Information Map dialog box. The Data Item Output Options dialog box is similar to the one from SAS Enterprise Guide but is not identical.
